AMC hires model to play chemist

Former model Marc Menard has been cast in the contract role of "Boyd" on All My Children. Boyd is a chemist hired by Erica and will also reportedly have dealings with Greenlee and Kendall.

Menard, a native on Montreal, currently resides in Florida, where he is filming a role in Ocean Avenue, a telenovela soap opera. Menard learned that All My Children was holding auditions through his manager, uber-agent Michael Bruno. While Bruno landed his client readings with several New York-based soaps, it was All My Children that snatched up the actor first. According to Menard, he learned that he had landed the role of Boyd within several hours of reading for the part.

Menard makes his debut on December 5.
